Our Green Spaces Portal (In The Weeds) was developed by HPRS in 2024 to provide a window of opportunity for residents to receive assistance in maintaining tidy areas outside their boundaries, that is, the gardens on the road side of the footpaths.
The portal is open to all residents to request assistance in weeding, tidying and replanting roadside gardens.
Maintenance of planted areas and public lawns in Hobsonville Point is shared between Auckland Council and its gardening contractors, and HPRS. Whilst the public cannot easily contact the Council contractor to seek assistance, HPRS is available to help, if possible, upon receiving an approach through the portal.
The portal operates all year round, but works predominantly occur during the main planting time, from autumn through to spring. We will either provide guidance on when your request can be completed, or action it during the next visit from our Neighbourhood Gardener.
Start with Auckland Council
Auckland Council is responsible for parks and reserves throughout Hobsonville Point. Report a problem with any of these to the Council first:
- Coastal Walkway
- Fly dumping
- Road signage
- Public toilets
- Litter bins
- Playgrounds
