The Rifle Range is administered and owned by Auckland Council.The Rifle Range is an outdoor theatre and recreation facility located along Bomb Point Drive on the Coastal Walkway.
The range may be made available for organised events for large numbers of people, events with a commercial aspect or private events for which it may need to be closed to the public. Such bookings are dealt with on a case by case basis.
An event permit application will need to be submitted through the Auckland Council website at least 20 working days before the planned event date. This will be reviewed within 5 working days to see if your activity will require an event permit or if you can utilise the space as a public user. The cost of the permit processing fee varies depending on the type of activity
