Transport at Hobsonville Point, ferries and buses
How to get to and from Hobsonville Point by ferry and bus.
Auckland Transport runs the buses and the ferries, sets the fares and publishes the timetables. What is below is the shape of the services from the Point, with the times and the fares left where they are kept up to date, on Auckland Transport’s own pages.
Ferries
Auckland Transport runs ferry services from Hobsonville Point to the CBD seven days a week, via Beach Haven.
Buy tickets from the machine at the top of Hobsonville Ferry Wharf, or use an AT HOP card to tag on and off. The My Ferry app is available for service updates.

Buses
An AT HOP card is required for bus travel. The AT Mobile app offers real-time bus tracking, and Auckland Transport’s Journey Planner will work out any of the connections below for the time you actually want to travel.

If you are looking for the 120, Auckland Transport renumbered it: it is now route 12, running the same way through Squadron Drive.
To the city centre
Two options:
- Route 12 from Squadron Drive (west side) to Constellation Station, then transfer to the Northern Express (NX1 or NX2)
- Route 112 or 114 from Squadron Drive (east side) to Westgate, then transfer to the Western Express (WX1)
To the North Shore
Route 12 from Squadron Drive (west side) to Constellation Station.
To Henderson
Route 12 from Squadron Drive (east side), direct to Henderson via Westgate.
To Westgate
Route 12 from Squadron Drive (east side), or routes 112 and 114 from the ferry terminal or the Hobsonville Point Road bus stop.
Routes 112, 114 and WX1 now stop at Westgate Te Waiarohia Station on Gunton Drive, which opened on 16 August 2026 and has a service centre, shelter, toilets and an AT HOP top-up machine.
