These are the residents elected to the Committee at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, which reconvened online on Wednesday 28 October. Every one of them gives their time unpaid. The bios are their own words.

The sense of belonging within the community is important to us as is the sense of security.

I was a Professional Photographer for 30 years, and have been a Business Broker for the last 12 years operating from my home office here and from the business HQ in Takapuna.

Why apply to be on the Committee? when I engage in any activity, I give it my best shot, I feel I’m able to bring a degree of business perspective & acumen with me along with the ability to see multiple sides to any decision, “negotiation” is what’s required of me in my profession.

I am currently the Chairperson and have been involved on the Committee since October 2023, this adds degrees of continuity and depth to the position. I have mentored boys at Westlake Boys High School for the Open Ground business school and spend time mowing the park and for some strange reason enjoy clearing culverts and drains around Bomb Point!

I certainly have a fun side to me, am passionate about Music, Supercars and of course my fabulous & tolerant family.

We love the area and believe in the value of what the HPRS brings to the quality of life for members and residents.

I have experience in senior management across a number of industries and currently own a small business involved in property maintenance and repair under the Hire a Hubby brand.

I have served on the committee twice in the past and feel I still have more to offer by getting involved again.

I have held a number of accounting and finance roles throughout my career, encompassing chartered accountancy, corporate finance, and public sector. I see the major role of the HPRS as preserving those civic elements that drew us to the suburb in the first instance.

We moved to Auckland from Wellington upon retirement so that we could be in the same city as our sons and grandchildren. That was three years ago. We really liked the look and feel of Hobsonville Point and are very happy with our choice.

I chose chartered accountancy as my career and have worked in public practice and in more recent years in commerce. Upon retirement I decided to qualify as a real estate agent so that I could help my wife Julie grow her real estate business within Harcourts.

One of the attractions of living in the precinct of the Hobsonville Point Residents Society is that we collectively have the opportunity to maintain the standards of how our properties look and to provide services of benefit to the whole community. This is rather unique to property developments in New Zealand and I’m enjoying my opportunity to make a contribution to the process.
