Peter HerbertHello and welcome to all HPRS members/homeowners at Hobsonville Point. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that 2017 has started well for you and your family.

Your HPRS committee, which was elected at November’s AGM, has already met twice and set some exciting goals for the year ahead. This year, one of our biggest areas of focus will be working alongside Hobsonville Land Company to improve security at Hobsonville Point. This is a major piece of work but one that we believe will help address concerns voiced to us by our members.

We will also continue to work with Albany Ward councillors and the Upper Harbour Local Board to further upgrade both the existing and the proposed community facilities in our area, including the former Headquarters Building on Buckley Avenue. As signalled at the AGM, we will be progressing negotiations around Chichester Cottage with Auckland Council and look forward to seeing this wee slice of history fully restored and available for use.

Finally, HPRS is marking the new year with a completely new look. We have recently completed a total overhaul of our website, now online at www.hprs.co.nz, and refreshed our communications, which now includes this regular e-newsletter. As Hobsonville Point continues to grow in size and number, we are committed to keeping you informed about the projects we are involved in and the issues that are relevant to you. I feel our new website, this e-newsletter and the new community noticeboard in Hobsonville Point Park will go a long way towards achieving this but I encourage you to read on, click through to our website and have a look around. As always, your thoughts and feedback are most welcome and gratefully received.

Peter Herbert,
