We are proud of our neighbourhood and want to keep it looking its best. As such everyone who lives in Hobsonville Point must abide by the HPRS constitution, whether or not you own your home.

Here are some friendly reminders about issues that are often brought to our attention:

Berm Mowing

The responsibility of mowing the berms sits between Auckland Council and the Property Developers.

After two years of the property being built the berm mowing is covered by the HPRS levy.

Communal Areas

We are lucky to have many options for parks and community spaces available in our area.

While Auckland Council is responsible for maintaining the green spaces in Hobsonville Point, we encourage everyone to do their part and pick up any rubbish they see.

Green Bags

The HPRS levy funds multiple garden bag drops throughout the year for organic material.

Weeds, Grass Clippings, Small Branches and Garden Waste are more than welcome in these bins.

Please do not use them for Household Rubbish, Metal or Furniture, Old Clothes or Plastic.

Parking

Cars parked over footpaths and grass verges or not in designated spaces risk incurring an infringement notice from Auckland Transport. Please make sure you park in your garage, on your driveway or in a designated space.

Furry Friends

Several dog bins are located around Hobsonville Point, complete with plastic bags and a specific bin in which to discard of your dog’s waste. Please use these facilities or remember your own plastic bags and pick up after your dog. All dogs must be on a leash once they leave your property. An off-leash area is provided near Bomb Point.

Security

Please ensure you secure your property to prevent break ins. Lock your doors and windows, and use your alarm systems when you are out. Get to know your neighbours and let them know if you are going to be away for an extended period.

We are also lucky enough to have the West Harbour Community Patrol looking after our area with regular patrols.
