Astronomy evening

Loading Events

On Wed, June 26, join our local expert, Chris Minto, and volunteers from the Auckland Astronomical Society to learn more about the night sky during the upcoming Matariki period. Matariki is a special time of year for Maori, marking the turning of seasons and the time when we can look forward to harvests and blessings to come next summer. Jupiter and Saturn will be visible too at that time and this is a super opportunity to see them through a big telescope (fingers crossed for a clear night!). Hobsonville Point Primary School from 6pm-8.30pm. Gold coin donation.
