We’re distributing Green Gorilla flexible bags around the Point so you can tackle weeds and overgrown shrubs and get rid of the clippings.
Thirteen bins will go out before the weekend of Nov 3-4, and will be collected again during the following week. The weather looks pretty bad this weekend, so if the bins are slow to fill we’ll leave them out over the following weekend too in the hope that some finer conditions will come along.

They usually fill up fast so, please, ONLY GARDEN WASTE, WEEDS AND FLAX. NO OTHER HOUSEHOLD RUBBISH.
Clip those hedges, pull those thistles, and let’s get our area looking super for summer!
NB If you’re a landlord with tenants whose rent covers garden maintenance, remind them too of the need to weed. And if they’re not doing it, please get it seen to. The neighbours will love you for it.
