It’s been raining a bit – and there’s plenty more to come today and Friday as Cyclone Cook passes east of Auckland.
There’s a lot of water in the Buckley Ave pond (you can just see the tops of the fence on the weir) which makes it a danger to anyone, especially children who might not realise how deep it is.
Please keep a watch out for your children, any you’re looking after over Easter, and those of neighbours, especially if they go out to play in or after the rain.
The ponds are a Council responsibility but they may have their hands full just now, so please be alert to this danger until the water recedes.
