Big apartment blocks are now rising around the Point, with two major structures creating interest along Hobsonville Point Road.  The large one opposite the secondary school, corner of Squadron Drive, is the Uku apartments – six floors high, counting the ground floor.
The development across this block is a mix of terraced houses, walkups and apartments and is a joint venture between New Zealand Super Fund, Ngāi Tahu Property and New Ground Living.

Ngāi Tahu is also developing the ground-floor-plus-four-storey Kerewhenua building (pictured) further along Hobsonville Point Rd on the corner of Onekiritia Rd. Both buildings are currently having roofs installed.

All residents will have carparks in either basement or laneway locations.

By the way, Ngāi Tahu will have a tent at Come Fly With Me next Sunday offering some family activities and they say, do please drop by if you want to know more.
