DESCRIPTION:Kaipātiki Project is an environmental organisation that run the community nursery at Hobsonville Pointon Bomb Point Drive.\nThey are opening their ‘green doors’ to the community and will run an Enviro Day on 20 March\, 9am – 1pm. This is a great opportunity for the neighbourhood to see what they do\, join free workshops on composting\, weaving\, learning about native plants and how to grow your veges.

DESCRIPTION:Last year around 800 people enjoyed the annual kite flying day at Hobsonville Point. \nIt’s on again this Sunday\, April 8\, 10am-2pm. \nStar of the show will be kitemaster\, Peter Clark\, who will be back with his giant 3D flyers. \nFor the 5th year in a row\, there’ll be kites\, flags\, parasols\, bunting\, face painting\, games\, crafts\, and food trucks offering great local food and organic coffee – so come relax and picnic with us\, bring your kites\, games and sunscreen! Best of all\, it’s FREE. \nCall up your friends and families and gather on the grassy area at Bomb Point (weather permitting).

DESCRIPTION:Free\n\n\nFor the fourth year in a row Te Onekiritea Point (Bomb Point) will spark into life for one fun-filled day of flying and festivities. This year HLC & The Open Fort are teaming up with Hobsonville Point Secondary School\, with 400 students helping to design\, create and deliver flight themed activities\, games\, and displays. From kite flying to lantern decorating\, juggling to carnival games\, face painting\, races\, science experiments\, dance performances\, live music and much\, much more. \nLast year’s favourite Peter Clark is back with his giant 3D kites as well as some of the best food trucks from the local area and around Auckland. Kites are also available for purchase on the day (with all proceeds going to Operation Christmas Child). \nGrab a friend or the whole family and head to Bomb Point for this free event\, 10am – 2pm\, Sunday April 9th. Bring along your kite\, get involved in one of the exciting activities\, or just relax on a picnic blanket and marvel at the sights\, sounds and action. \nRain date: Hobsonville Point Secondary School will host a showcase of the students projects\, Wednesday 12th April\, 10.30am – 12pm.
