DESCRIPTION:If you’re keen to make compost from your kitchen scraps and want to do it in a small-scale kind of way\, you can register for a free Bokashi session at the Catalina Community Garden. It’s on Feb 17\, 10am to 11.30. \nBokashi is a Japanese concept that can be translated as ‘fermented organic matter’. Bokashi ‘pickles’ your food waste\, unlike traditional composting where waste is allowed to decay. It produces nutrient-rich compost that you can dig into your garden. \nJust register here.
