DESCRIPTION:A team of energetic locals led by Amar and Dee Trivedi is planning a bright and beautiful Diwali festival here on October 19\, at the Sunderland Lounge\, top of Hudson Bay Road\, from 5pm onwards.  \nCalled #BlingonPoint\, the focus for 2019 is #DiwaliwithaDifference – Unity & Diversity.  \n  \nSays Amar: “Our aim is to connect everyone in our diverse community. Don your blingiest outfits and bust out some zany dance moves – because Hobsonville’s Diwali Festival – #BlingonPoint – is back… bigger\, better\, brighter\, and funner than before.” \nThis is a FREE COMMUNITY EVENT – Gold Coin donation welcome \n~ Light up your Life with Diwali fun\, food and festivity\n~ A colourful celebration of light\, love\, music and joy \nThis Festival of Lights will be the first big event to happen at  our brand-spanking new community hall\, The Sunderland Lounge.  \nYou can enjoy: \n– Delicious Indian street eats and snacks (from Indigo – $5 a plate)\n– Al’s Kulfi and Falooda – delicious Indian ice cream and yum drink\n– Traditional Welcome (arti n diyas)\n– Live Indian music performance\n– Bollywood party (music and dancing)\n– Henna painting (mehendi)\n– Rangoli Designs & Decorations \nThere are MANY PRIZES TO BE WON (such as Best Dressed Male & Female – Mr & Ms Diwali on Point).
