DESCRIPTION:Free\n\n\nFor the fourth year in a row Te Onekiritea Point (Bomb Point) will spark into life for one fun-filled day of flying and festivities. This year HLC & The Open Fort are teaming up with Hobsonville Point Secondary School\, with 400 students helping to design\, create and deliver flight themed activities\, games\, and displays. From kite flying to lantern decorating\, juggling to carnival games\, face painting\, races\, science experiments\, dance performances\, live music and much\, much more. \nLast year’s favourite Peter Clark is back with his giant 3D kites as well as some of the best food trucks from the local area and around Auckland. Kites are also available for purchase on the day (with all proceeds going to Operation Christmas Child). \nGrab a friend or the whole family and head to Bomb Point for this free event\, 10am – 2pm\, Sunday April 9th. Bring along your kite\, get involved in one of the exciting activities\, or just relax on a picnic blanket and marvel at the sights\, sounds and action. \nRain date: Hobsonville Point Secondary School will host a showcase of the students projects\, Wednesday 12th April\, 10.30am – 12pm.

DESCRIPTION:Free\n\n\nIt’s Neighbours Day on Sunday 26 March and what better way to celebrate than to have a friendly competition. There’s $300 of either Flame or Indian Summer up for grabs for the winning team and spot prizes too plus a free sausage sizzle. \nSimply form a team of 8 – 10 people from within the Hobsonville Point community and be there ready to go for the briefing at 4.30pm. Event finishes by 6pm. \nThe relays/challenges will be family friendly and suitable for ages 5 years and up (younger ones can hang out with your team too though). You’re welcome to watch and support too if you’d prefer. \nBig thanks to Harcourts and Upper Harbour Board for their support! \nNB: Event is subject to fine weather.

Open to all residents.\n\n\nProtect your Tools – Massey Police are offering free tool engraving and prevention advice for the next two Thursday evenings 16th  and 23rd  March  (2pm -7pm) at Hobsonville Point (Water Park Area ). To get there\, go down Onekiritea Road\, off Hobsonville Point Road. \nSupporting the Massey Community Policing Team will be Massey Community Patrol and Neighbourhood Support Waitakere\, who will be offering the safer plates screws at a $1 a screw (so that’s $4 for a car) and if senior citizens have a gold card then it’s free. \nAlso supporting Police will be the ‘Selectadna’ company  \nPolice will be highlighting the advantages of using the snap website to further protect your valuables \nPolice will also be putting on a free Sausage sizzle. \nCome down and meet your local community policing team\, see you there. \n

DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the new Rifle Range on Sunday 19 March from 4.30pm to 6.30pm to celebrate the opening of this community facility. The Hobsonville Land Company in collaboration with students from the Hobsonville Point Secondary School\, AVJennings\, and local band ‘Hobby Hipsters’ are very excited to be putting on this event for the community. \nAs the title suggests\, this was a RNZAF Rifle Range\, which has now been transformed into a stage area\, terraced seating\, a table tennis table\, and public toilets. \nThe afternoon will have music and dance by students from the Hobsonville Point Secondary school and local Band ‘Hobby Hipsters’. \nA meal will be available to purchase for $5.00 per person\, and soft drinks available for purchase\,. She loves to sing about her travels and connection with nature and draws her inspiration from the hills and beaches of west Auckland.
