As a new community with fragile social infrastructure, Hobsonville Point’s elderly and people wth special health needs are vulnerable to being isolated without neighbourly support.
Hobsonville Point Gets Ready has over 200 participants including 12 street coordinators. As of today, 40 care packs with fresh food have been delivered to households in need. Essential food, meals and juice have been kindly donated by local eateries Fabric and Peko Peko.
Auckland Council has activated its welfare functions within AEM and our volunteers are can assist with coordinated distributions and assistance in our neighbourhood.
